Yesterday, November 10, employees and visitors to the Philippine Stock Exchange Center were in for a treat as the GMA News TV mounted its Free Time event. Games, freebies and more awaits within the PSEC auditorium throughout the day.
As my custom during lunch, I left my cellphones on my desk and I don't have anything to take pictures with (not to mention 15 minutes left on my lunch break is not enough to try everything and anything), a scan of the ID we were given will have to do.
Free coffee greets you upon entrance by the wonderful people of Nescafe and Master facial cleanser sachets were handed to the male guests of the events. Ang Pinaka corner had a small contest wherein notebooks or notepads can be won, but I find the Best Men booth featuring a boxing game with the use of Kinect more interesting. And it has to be said that water bottles in colorful see-through blue or red is much more preferable to notebooks at the end of the day. Juander had a snack of sorts buffet, but with its long line, I had to kiss my sweet cravings good bye as the time I have to spare dwindles down. The drink station was behind the Juander booth and its the only one without a line, so its a choice between a cold plastic cup of orange juice or a warm mango juice (you can pretty much guess which one I chose).
Off to the other side is the GMA News TV photo booth, and yes, a line of about 10 people deep ahead of us caused us to wander over to the next booth. How I lament the time constraint as the Fashbook had a nail art booth set-up and I'm dying to get my nails done. But more than the call of vanity, the next booth we came upon by Pop Talk was even more mouth-watering since a long day's work needs some pampering and what can be more relaxing than a massage? Choose between a back massage provided by a professional masseuse or the cushy massage armchair and spend a glorious few minutes in blissful relaxation, and it was definitely unexpected that the armchair was winning 50 - 31 against the masseuse when we had no time left but to rush off upstairs for the start of afternoon toiling behind a work desk.
Other booths not mentioned previously: Optein giving away free information flyers, Pond's giving away their new whitening moisturizer endorsed by Angelica Panganiban, and Honda Scooters with an actual scooter consulting for wanna-be owners.

Poem - Journey Back
In the morrow’s light,
Will the night’s fright
Disappear like the pale moon light ?
With the dawn of the new day
Bringing with it winds that cause the daffodils to sway
Will you find your own way?
As the sun crest on yonder hill
The heat aiming to wittle down your will
Will you stop your journey and stay still?
Twilight shrouds the world anew
As the night wind quietly blew
Will you be able to find that you grew?

The Last View of a Legendary Trio - On and Off Cam
Here's a clip shared by perezhilton.com from the special features of the last Harry Potter movie DVD.
Growing up reading, and later watching, the boy wizard and his two loyal best friends, it felt pretty much like well-loved friends had packed up and left. As with every book that had made you dream, stories weaving vivid images in your mind, the treasured memories shared with friends and fellow fans, all must come to an end but will forever remain in my heart.

Poem - A Kiss Tonight
Oh dear, won't you give me a kiss tonight?
Mayhap before I bade you good night
For I shan't see you close to a fort night!
Oh please give me a kiss tonight
Fill my dreams of bliss and light
Chase away the nightmares fright
Oh do kiss me tonight
That I shan't think of blight
And my heart shall take flight!
Mayhap before I bade you good night
For I shan't see you close to a fort night!
Oh please give me a kiss tonight
Fill my dreams of bliss and light
Chase away the nightmares fright
Oh do kiss me tonight
That I shan't think of blight
And my heart shall take flight!

Switching Blogging Platforms
Okay, it's not like I'm an avid blogger or a blog reader, but I am once again switching from one platform to another. It's not that the platform wasn't good, I just can't figure how to do certain things with it. I may be tech-savvy, but I'm still a clueless twit when it comes to html coding, javascript and whathaveyou.
One thing I noticed when I opened my blogger account and its lists of blogs I'm too lazy to update, is really the new platform. If you haven't guessed it yet, I gravitate towards experimenting on new technology, especially if its free to use.
Since this is my first post on this whole new platform, I cannot really say much yet how the improvements differ from the old one, but one thing I can tell you now, I love the way the whole posting screen looked! It's virtually clean with not much color and widget clutter, the standard formatting tools, settings to the side, and did i mention how the gradients of gray used for this screen is offset nicely with the nice pop of orange color? I definitely dig the clean combination and the bigger posting window (or maybe its all the gray creating the illusion of space).
Anyway, to cut things short, I'm migrating back to blogger. If you've ever been my reader or not, feel free to share your own take on the updated look of blogger.com!
